Min Hee-jin Directly Responds To HYBE’s Claims, “HYBE Acquired Evidence Illegally & Distorted Convos About NewJeans”

Min Hee-jin said, “Going through all these processes, which could be painful, difficult, enjoyable and tough, NewJeans and I, though we’re always like a family, seem to have come together and our bond has become stronger than just a family relationship. I can only tell you that my relationship with NewJeans is more than what you think”.

She continued, “Right after I got attacked by those distorted Kakaotalk conversations, all the members comforted me by sending me messages. Those are not just messages of support, but content is full of love. They kept sending me such messages until the next morning. The reason I cried out loud was not because people misunderstood me and cursed me, but it was because I felt pity that the people involved had to go through such a terrible situation. It’s unfortunate that many people easily get deceived by such obviously malicious actions, but the problem lies in those who spread false information. It’s not the fault of people who believe them. However, if you care for NewJeans just a little bit, what you can do is not drag the members into such ridiculous issues as much as possible”.

In addition, Min Hee-jin said, “HYBE conducted a preliminary forensic examination without my consent on the laptop I received and used when I first joined the company but already reset and returned to HYBE two years ago. HYBE looked into my personal life, shared them among themselves, and included them in the audit document. Do the things that happened before ADOR’s establishment have anything to do with this audit? In addition, HYBE didn’t make any legal arguments in court knowing very well that a lot of reporters were present, so they selected only some certain personal conversations and read them out in a provocative way instead. Although I was absent from the interrogation and only heard about it later, it’s creepy to think that HYBE could go as far as violating someone’s privacy to damage their reputation”.
She added, “HYBE disclosed my personal history before ADOR’s establishment to the public, took the Deputy CEO’s laptop without permission to find something to attack me, and threatened the Deputy CEO by mentioning criminal responsibility. They also pressured the employees of ADOR by coming to their homes late at night to ask for personal cell phones as well as editing and leaking private conversations unrelated to the main issue. Even after doing such irrational and cruel things, they released articles claiming that they would protect the members. I doubt their true intention behind the audit”.
Meanwhile, the dispute between ADOR’s CEO Min Hee-jin and the parent company HYBE is still going on.
